(PHOENIX – August 8, 2013) One local small business owner has been selected to receive free marketing consulting services for one whole year. A team of marketing experts recently adopted Joel Hester and his business, Weld House, to help him strategically grow his business over the next year.

The marketing experts are part of Adopt a Small Business, a volunteer organization whose members are offering their business consulting services to one lucky small business owner at no cost for one year. Weld House specialized in building modern steel furniture.

“I am so fortunate and really excited to have been selected by Adopt a Small Business,” said Hester. “I’ve been wearing all the hats in my business, and I’m looking forward to the strategic input of all of the experts to help me grow and diversify my product line.”

Larry Vivola, owner of Inline Business Advisors, started Adopt a Small Business to offer his expertise pro bono to help other businesses. He expanded the group to include a variety of skill sets to make a bigger impact on a business. Hester was selected from more than 30 applications from the recent call for applicants.

“It was agonizing picking one winner, but I knew we selected the right entrepreneur when I called The Weld House on the Fourth of July to congratulate him, and expecting an answering machine, Joel picked up as he was working a full day to catch up,” said Vivola. “His dedication and passion are contagious. I promised him that starting July Fourth 2014 he will not be working and that he will be spending the holiday with his wife and kids.”

Adopt a Small Business’s volunteer experts are pooling their expertise on a pro bono basis over a year-long period to help one business achieve its desired goals. Worth more than a projected $60,000 in marketing consulting fees, all services and advice are free aside from hard costs such as web hosting, printing, advertising, etc. In addition to Vivola, the following business owners have volunteered their services and resources to Adopt a Small Business for the next year:

The group will begin consulting services immediately to help Hester meet his goals of developing a product line that isn’t dependent upon him and to provide security for his family, wife Kathryn and two children, Vada, age 2, and Fritz, age 3.
